The basic concept behind any Internet browser is to provide a user-friendly interface to view webpages. But now, browser “extensions” can make them do just about anything.
When it comes to SEO, there are several extensions that can save marketing agencies time and money. Here are three of them:
1. SEO Quake
One of the most popular SEO extensions with more than 100,000 users, this add-on for Firefox, Chrome, Safari and Opera allows SEOs to gather tons of vital information. On search-engine results pages (SERPS), this app shows information about each link, such as:- Page rank
- Number of indexed pages
- Alexa links
SEO Quake also lets the users save, filter and export data, and track a webpage’s keyword density.
2. Buffer App:
Many SEO agencies have a national, or even international, client base. That means businesses operate in different time zones. Unfortunately, when it comes to social media posts, timing is everything. For a pub, for example, the ideal time to write a post about that night’s specials may be a few hours before opening. For other businesses, early to mid-morning may be ideal. With Buffer App, agencies can schedule thousands of social media posts at different times, making the entire process less complicated.
The best part is Buffer is a free extension and service unless you upgrade to the company’s “Awesome” plan for £6 a month, which gives you unlimited posts. This extension is available for Chrome, Safari and Firefox.
3.MozBar as SEO Extensions:
Moz started as an SEO consulting company in 2004, and they’ve been a major player in Internet marketing for the last decade. One reason for the company’s success is its analytic services. With MozBar, an extension for Chrome and Firefox, SEOs can save tons of time while gathering information about search queries. Simply enter a phrase in Google’s search, and MozBar will reveal this information about the SERP results:
- Page authority
- Domain authority
- Ranking strength
- Link counts
- Number of linking root domains
MozBar is convenient to use, and SEOs can access even more comprehensive analytics about a site by navigating to the Moz webpage.
4. Domain Hunter Plus:
A Google Chrome extension, Domain Hunter finds domains with inactive links, lets you select the ones you want, and then, you can purchase them through a hardcoded link to GoDaddy.com. Domain Hunter (DHP) data can be exported to an Excel .csv file, which makes DHP a great tool for fixing dead links in a site or finding well-trafficked domains.5. OneTab:
OneTab allows the user to convert tabbed content into lists, which can be easily exported or imported for use on a tablet or smartphone. A user can create a webpage and reorder the links, then share with other users. The developer claims this extension will save 95 per cent of memory usage with tabs closed, but right now, it is only available for Chrome.Whenever you find yourself with too many tabs, click the OneTab icon to convert all of your tabs into a list. When you need to access the tabs again, you can either restore them individually or all at once.
When your tabs are in the OneTab list, you will save up to 95% of memory because you will have reduced the number of tabs open in Google Chrome.
